Giovanni Pombal took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amauri Matorin. Amauri Matorin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Fiori da Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diamantino do Vale having to interfere. A hard shot 27 in the game by César Breckenfeld from a close distance when the talented Diamantino do Vale managed to make a qualified save. Sampas Futebol Clube's players were relieved. Amauri Matorin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovanni Pombal in the 35th minute of play. Diamantino do Vale stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fiori da Silveira's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Fiori da Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the match, Sampas Futebol Clube's Leandro Macedo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amauri Matorin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fabiano da Silveira's late challenge caught a Sampas Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabiano da Silveira helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Sampas Futebol Clube booed when Jacuizinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabiano da Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fiori da Silveira made a kick off. When Jacuizinho's César Breckenfeld in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a defensive mix-up in Sampas Futebol Clube's zone, Fiori da Silveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diamantino do Vale came out of the goal and Fiori da Silveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Diamantino do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fiori da Silveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Fiori da Silveira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Diamantino do Vale. Sampas Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fiori da Silveira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Leandro Macedo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Amauri Matorin firmly grabbed it by the left post. Amauri Matorin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovanni Pombal in the 81st minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Sampas Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Fiori da Silveira came free, but Diamantino do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diamantino do Vale came out of the goal and Jarbas Bittencourt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amauri Matorin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leandro Macedo in the 93rd minute. The Sampas Futebol Clube players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Jacuizinho from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
