An unexpectedly hard shot by Luan Cearense in the 3rd minute of play forced Barcelona Fc's goalkeeper Conrado Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Conrado Duarte didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dorian Paulista went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 11th minute, José Vítor Zonta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dorian Paulista struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Conrado Duarte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caioba SC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Carioca in the 20th minute of play forced Caioba SC's goalkeeper Osvaldo Schmidt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Dito Mangueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Vítor Zonta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Conrado Duarte read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Dito Mangueira might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Osvaldo Schmidt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dito Mangueira ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dito Mangueira in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Osvaldo Schmidt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dito Mangueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Osvaldo Schmidt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Barcelona Fc booed when Caioba SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walmyr Tepedino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dito Mangueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Schmidt having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Caioba SC's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Carioca came free, but Osvaldo Schmidt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abelardo Carioca to strike the kick off in the second half. Conrado Duarte didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Vítor Zonta went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Dito Mangueira took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Osvaldo Schmidt. Osvaldo Schmidt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Dorian Paulista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Conrado Duarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If José Vítor Zonta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Conrado Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Vítor Zonta in the 77th minute of play. Rubens Goiano hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute, José Vítor Zonta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Dorian Paulista's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Conrado Duarte was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rubens Goiano during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The Caioba SC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Barcelona Fc had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
