César Breckenfeld recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nilson Zanette charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nilson Zanette the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of Jacuizinho:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Flamengo Clube de Regatas:s goal. Jacuizinho:s Amauri Matorin showed great skill when he stopped João Francisco Nascimento:s penalty. After a long run with the ball, João Francisco Nascimento did a trick in the 35th minute in front of Jacuizinho's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 3-0. An impressive performance by Flamengo Clube de Regatas's João Francisco Nascimento! In the 41st minute, Flamengo Clube de Regatas's Eusebio Txurio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fiori da Silveira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luisão Vianna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Amauri Matorin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luisão Vianna in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amauri Matorin saved Jacuizinho from getting behind. After some careless play in the Jacuizinho defense, Eusebio Txurio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amauri Matorin. The Jacuizinho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amauri Matorin should have stopped the shot. Amauri Matorin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebio Txurio in the 83rd minute of play. In the 85thth minute of the game Luisão Vianna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jacuizinho's Amauri Matorin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jacuizinho's goalkeeper Amauri Matorin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Flamengo Clube de Regatas's attentive Renatinho Carneiro managed to snatch the ball when Nilson Zanette made a throw-in in the 91st minute of the game. Flamengo Clube de Regatas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Fiori da Silveira scored to the left of an out of position Ivo Melo, making the score, 6-1. When the referee ended the match the Flamengo Clube de Regatas players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
