Manoel Torres dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Ivo Melo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Pernambucano in the 56th minute of the match. Flamengo Clube de Regatas's Ivo Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Pernambucano in the 58th minute of play. Carlos Eduardo Pena hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. With his leg Manoel Torres managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Flamengo Clube de Regatas's Luisão Vianna fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The corner ended in João Francisco Nascimento almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Deportivo La Corcunda's Manoel Torres did a great save. 81 minutes into the match, Flamengo Clube de Regatas's goal looked a bit too open when Felippe Galvão came free, but Ivo Melo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
