Amauri Matorin made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Yan Breckenfeld sent off a good shot on target. Gorutuba Futebol Clube's Emerson de Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by César Breckenfeld in the 12th minute of play. César Breckenfeld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Emerson de Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Yan Breckenfeld had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacuizinho's Amauri Matorin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ian Lopes in the 21st minute of play. Jacuizinho's César Breckenfeld got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emerson de Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruninho Peixoto, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Fiori da Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emerson de Almeida having to interfere. Gorutuba Futebol Clube's Emerson de Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fiori da Silveira in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Lopes in the 36th minute of play forced Jacuizinho's goalkeeper Amauri Matorin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fiori da Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ian Lopes was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match Jarbas Bittencourt shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emerson de Almeida showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Fiori da Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Emerson de Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. César Breckenfeld could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Emerson de Almeida made a huge save. After 60 minutes, Bruninho Peixoto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jacuizinho and the Gorutuba Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bruninho Peixoto hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Emerson de Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fiori da Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th match minute, Gorutuba Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Augusto Terra to maneuver through the defense. In the 70thth minute of the game Fiori da Silveira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gorutuba Futebol Clube's Emerson de Almeida was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. César Breckenfeld sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 74 minutes into the game, Juarês Godoi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gorutuba Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jacuizinho the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Gorutuba Futebol Clube's zone, César Breckenfeld stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emerson de Almeida came out of the goal and César Breckenfeld tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 81st match minute, Jacuizinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Douglas Velasco to maneuver through the defense. Fiori da Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emerson de Almeida having to interfere. The supporters of Jacuizinho booed when Gorutuba Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juarês Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Natanael de Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gorutuba Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Natanael de Carvalho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amauri Matorin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. César Breckenfeld blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emerson de Almeida having to make a save.
