Ismael Melo's late challenge caught a Balco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ismael Melo helped the player get up and apologised. Sebastião Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. In the 94th minute, João Vítor Linares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edson Vasconcelos was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Balco fully deserved thier win.
