A very good chance. In the 9th minute Hernani dos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Rıfat Erdem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardo Prata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonas Sarmento hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. When Tiago Gabriel Esteves fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Abolição FC's protests and gave Tiago Gabriel Esteves a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th match minute, Abolição FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago Gabriel Esteves to maneuver through the defense. Márcio Valle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiago Gabriel Esteves in the 21st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Abolição FC's zone, Hernani dos Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmet Rıfat Erdem came out of the goal and Hernani dos Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 32 minutes into the game, Hernani dos Santos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ahmet Rıfat Erdem. Hernani dos Santos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind BYU Cougars ®'s goalkeeper Márcio Valle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bernardo Prata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Márcio Valle having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tiago Gabriel Esteves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute of the match Ademar Carvalho sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Márcio Valle skillfully saved the ball. Tiago Gabriel Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Márcio Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hernani dos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernardo Prata's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Márcio Valle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. With a little luck, BYU Cougars ®'s Márcio Valle got control of the ball when Bernardo Prata tried to sneak it across the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Tiago Gabriel Esteves notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of BYU Cougars ®'s Márcio Valle. Márcio Valle was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 73rd minute Tiago Gabriel Esteves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Márcio Valle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Abolição FC's goal looked a bit too open when Noel Trigo came free, but Ahmet Rıfat Erdem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 85 minutes into the game, Abolição FC's Bernardo Prata nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Márcio Valle made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. In the 93rd minute, Sílvio Vidal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Bernardo Prata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Abolição FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than BYU Cougars ®.
