Spectators: 7175 (Terracing: 5383, Seating: 1650, VIP seats: 142) Zé Augusto Mesquita made the kick off and thus started the match. After 6 played minutes Caruaru FC got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Marques. Caruaru FC's Luís Fábio Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovanni Palmeira in the 7th minute of play. After 9 minutes Caruaru FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Armando de Senna who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Antuerpia's corner Armando de Senna fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Luís Fábio Coelho quite easily take care of the ball. Zé Augusto Mesquita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zé Augusto Mesquita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Orlando Nogueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Orlando Nogueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabiano Vinhas in the 16th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Manfredo Loyola was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caruaru FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Antuerpia the free kick. After 21 minutes, Ediberto Paraense made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Caruaru FC's Luís Fábio Coelho tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 26th minute, Ediberto Paraense left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Antuerpia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Ediberto Paraense scored 4-0 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luís Fábio Coelho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fabiano Vinhas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Nogueira having to interfere. Ediberto Paraense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Luís Fábio Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Orlando Nogueira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabiano Vinhas's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. In the 48th minute Geovanni Palmeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Fábio Coelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

In the 54th minute, Zé Augusto Mesquita fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. With a little luck, Antuerpia's Orlando Nogueira got control of the ball when Fabiano Vinhas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sérgio Neves might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Orlando Nogueira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sérgio Neves ran back to his position shaking his head. After 60 played minutes Zé Augusto Mesquita rounded Antuerpia's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 4-1. In the 65th minute Zé Augusto Mesquita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlando Nogueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orlando Nogueira didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 67th minute, which inside left pole to 4-2. 71 minutes into the match, Caruaru FC's goal looked a bit too open when Maurício Siqueira came free, but Luís Fábio Coelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Zé Augusto Mesquita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Orlando Nogueira. That made the score 4-3 in the 77 minute of play. Fabiano Vinhas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Nogueira having to interfere. Zé Augusto Mesquita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Nogueira having to interfere. Zé Augusto Mesquita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
