But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enrique Amorim couldn't finish the play. 9 minutes into the game, Zezito's Zézinho de Alcântara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edson Vasconcelos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. A collision led to 28 de Outubro getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Dieguinho Pinheiro hit a great ball. Edson Vasconcelos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zézinho de Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind 28 de Outubro's goalkeeper Edson Vasconcelos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Edson Vasconcelos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zézinho de Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Zézinho de Alcântara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edson Vasconcelos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Germano Pernambucano kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Dino da Cunha notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of 28 de Outubro's Edson Vasconcelos. Edson Vasconcelos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Michel Donatello hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Zézinho de Alcântara scored 0-4 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edson Vasconcelos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Edson Vasconcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zézinho de Alcântara in the 48th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The wind increased when Benjamim Pinheiro made the kick off in the second half. When Benjamim Pinheiro came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the 28 de Outubro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjamim Pinheiro couldn't finish the play. During the 55th minute of the match Adhemar Neto completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Adhemar Neto a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Enrique Amorim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jano Madureira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedrinho Garcia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Luizão Brasil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zézinho de Alcântara struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Edson Vasconcelos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zezito. When Zezito's Zézinho de Alcântara in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Edson Vasconcelos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 28 de Outubro's Edson Vasconcelos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zézinho de Alcântara in the 73rd minute of play. Enrique Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edson Vasconcelos having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Vladimir Mazza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st match minute, Zezito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dino da Cunha to maneuver through the defense. Edson Vasconcelos made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Enrique Amorim sent off a good shot on target. Zézinho de Alcântara struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Edson Vasconcelos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zezito. Rony Vinhas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute, Zézinho de Alcântara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Enrique Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zezito's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
