After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Elder Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Orlando Nogueira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 10 minutes had been played when some careless play by CENTER FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Armando de Senna was slow to take the kick. During this time Antuerpia's players had a chance to rest. Antuerpia's Orlando Nogueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amauri Lopez in the 11th minute of play. If Elder Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute, Maurinho Brasil made a precise shot to the right of Orlando Nogueira. Antuerpia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Antuerpia's zone, Elder Barbosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orlando Nogueira came out of the goal and Elder Barbosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Orlando Nogueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurinho Brasil in the 33rd minute of play. Orlando Nogueira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maurinho Brasil's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Orlando Nogueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elder Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elder Barbosa in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Orlando Nogueira saved Antuerpia from getting behind. After the first half CENTER FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Elder Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Orlando Nogueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maurinho Brasil who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Orlando Nogueira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Antuerpia's goalkeeper Orlando Nogueira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 69th minute, Maurinho Brasil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Geovanni Palmeira might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amauri Leite. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Geovanni Palmeira ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Antuerpia getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Maurício Siqueira hit a great ball. After having played for 75 minutes, Elder Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CENTER FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elder Barbosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Orlando Nogueira stood somewhat misplaced when Maurinho Brasil came free in front of goal and shot 0-3 to the left of him in the 77 minute. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Elder Barbosa took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Orlando Nogueira to make any attempt to save it. Orlando Nogueira was a little too slow when Samuca Mendes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 0-5. 91 minutes into the match, CENTER FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ediberto Paraense came free, but Amauri Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Antuerpia getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Manuel Tróia hit a great ball. When the final whistle sounded CENTER FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Antuerpia.
