The supporters of Antuerpia booed when CENTER FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliézer Prestes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Armando de Senna took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 9th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Amauri Leite. CENTER FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Antuerpia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Elder Barbosa scored to the left of an out of position Orlando Nogueira, making the score, 1-0. If Armando Britto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amauri Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geovanni Palmeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After a rather tough play, CENTER FC's Tiago Gabriel Santana got a free kick in the 27th minute. After 28 played minutes, Antuerpia's Armando de Senna shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Amauri Leite came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Antuerpia reached it. 29 minutes into the match, Geovanni Palmeira notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of CENTER FC's Amauri Leite. Amauri Leite was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Maurinho Brasil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 40 minutes, Elder Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CENTER FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elder Barbosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maurinho Brasil kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Geovanni Palmeira in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amauri Leite saved CENTER FC from getting behind. If Elder Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

51 minutes into the match, Antuerpia's goal looked a bit too open when Elder Barbosa came free, but Orlando Nogueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Orlando Nogueira came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by CENTER FC's Maurinho Brasil. But to his dismay, Maurinho Brasil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Lino Rosado kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. With a little luck, CENTER FC's Amauri Leite got control of the ball when Ediberto Paraense tried to sneak it across the goal line. Antuerpia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Armando de Senna in the 61st minute. A nice corner shot did that Armando de Senna got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Amauri Leite quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Elder Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Elder Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Nogueira having to interfere. 72 minutes into the game, CENTER FC's Maurinho Brasil nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Orlando Nogueira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. After some careless play in the Antuerpia defense, Maurinho Brasil kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Orlando Nogueira. The Antuerpia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Orlando Nogueira should have stopped the shot. Orlando Nogueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elder Barbosa in the 85th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Faustão Schmidt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Orlando Nogueira. Antuerpia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Faustão Schmidt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maurício Siqueira during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Antuerpia's Maurício Siqueira got a free kick in the 93rd minute. When CENTER FC's Maurinho Brasil in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Antuerpia's goalie prevented a goal. CENTER FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
