Luizinho Britto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Murillo Veloso made a huge save. In the 23rd play minute Fiori Torres came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Murillo Veloso. 1-0. Murillo Veloso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fiori Torres in the 33rd minute. In the 35th match minute, Ricerspool United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fiori Torres to maneuver through the defense. Cacá Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Eduardo Aguiar in the 38th minute of play. Cacá Veiga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Cabral in the 39th minute of the match. In the 43rd match minute, Ibitiguaia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. When Diego Paulista came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Ricerspool United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Paulista couldn't finish the play. Alfredo Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Cacá Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tiaguinho Seco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cacá Veiga made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Alfredo Cabral sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luizinho Britto during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Tiaguinho Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cacá Veiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiaguinho Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cacá Veiga made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Alfredo Cabral sent off a good shot on target. Tiaguinho Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Ricerspool United's Luizinho Britto got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 90th minute, Alfredo Cabral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 92 minutes into the match, Ricerspool United's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Eduardo Aguiar came free, but Cacá Veiga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Cabral struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Cacá Veiga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ibitiguaia. Fiori Torres took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Murillo Veloso. Murillo Veloso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Ibitiguaia were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Ricerspool United to leave the ground with a draw.
