Sandrinho Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. E.C XV de Piracicaba's Ediberto Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felippe Sousa in the 4th minute of play. After 5 minutes, Dito Lopes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the E.C XV de Piracicaba and the Guarapuava players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dito Lopes hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Ediberto Costa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sandrinho Duarte in the 11th minute. A hard shot 16 in the game by Sandrinho Duarte from a close distance when the talented Ediberto Costa managed to make a qualified save. E.C XV de Piracicaba's players were relieved. If Sandrinho Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sandrinho Duarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Ediberto Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 35 played minutes E.C XV de Piracicaba got a freekick which was hit by Rogério Koehler. If Sandrinho Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernandinho Zanette recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Felippe Sousa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. After having played for 46 minutes, Dito Lopes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. E.C XV de Piracicaba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dito Lopes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Sandrinho Duarte made the kick off in the second half. In the 54thth minute of the game Sandrinho Duarte who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but E.C XV de Piracicaba's Ediberto Costa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Sandrinho Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guarapuava's supporters rose to their feet, but Sandrinho Duarte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ediberto Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fernandinho Zanette charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fernandinho Zanette the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Guarapuava getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Fernandinho Zanette hit a great ball. In the 65th match minute, E.C XV de Piracicaba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dito Lopes to maneuver through the defense. 66 minutes into the game, Sandrinho Duarte cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Ediberto Costa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bebeto Donato got free with Kiko Schmidt in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Vaz in the 71st minute of play forced Guarapuava's goalkeeper Kiko Schmidt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Guarapuava's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Vaz came free, but Kiko Schmidt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Sandrinho Duarte notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of E.C XV de Piracicaba's Ediberto Costa. Ediberto Costa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sandrinho Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ediberto Costa having to interfere. Guarapuava's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sílvio Luís Reis in the 85th minute. A nice corner shot did that Sílvio Luís Reis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ediberto Costa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ediberto Costa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sandrinho Duarte went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Ediberto Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandrinho Duarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 95 played minutes E.C XV de Piracicaba got a freekick which was hit by Dito Lopes. After having played for 97 minutes, Sandrinho Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guarapuava's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sandrinho Duarte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Guarapuava had played much better football throughout.
