Erivaldo Cardozo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Felippe Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erivaldo Cardozo having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Sandrinho Duarte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sandrinho Duarte got in the 31st a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Erivaldo Cardozo handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandrinho Duarte in the 36th minute of play forced Mararupa F.C.'s goalkeeper Erivaldo Cardozo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felippe Sousa took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erivaldo Cardozo. If Fernandinho Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmundo Bezerra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Erivaldo Cardozo made a huge save. In the 59th minute of the match Germano Nogueira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erivaldo Cardozo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Felippe Sousa struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Erivaldo Cardozo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guarapuava. Sandrinho Duarte came free with the goalkeeper in the 65th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Erivaldo Cardozo could save by the left post. João Carlos Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, José Carlos Pena sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Guarapuava's Kiko Schmidt didn't even have to move. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basílio Paulista in the 71st minute of play forced Guarapuava's goalkeeper Kiko Schmidt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rdth minute of the game Pedro Luiz Gaúcho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guarapuava's Kiko Schmidt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sandrinho Duarte scored 0-3 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erivaldo Cardozo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sandrinho Duarte blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erivaldo Cardozo having to make a save. Mararupa F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sandrinho Duarte was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Guarapuava played a much better game than Mararupa F.C. and deserved their victory. The Mararupa F.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
