Spectators: 7216 (Terracing: 5413, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 143) Ulisses Fontes started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Erivaldo Guimarães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ediberto Costa having to interfere. The supporters of Flexx CS Team booed when E.C XV de Piracicaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogério Koehler didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in E.C XV de Piracicaba's zone, Ulisses Fontes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ediberto Costa came out of the goal and Ulisses Fontes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Erivaldo Guimarães could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Ediberto Costa made a huge save. When Alexandre Vaz got free in front of the goal in the 15th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Romário Magalhães was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Ulisses Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Ediberto Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ediberto Costa had great luck who in the 23rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Ulisses Fontes from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Erivaldo Guimarãess short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Ediberto Costa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Alexandre Vaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute Ulisses Fontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ediberto Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 57th minute, Caco Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romário Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Vaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Flexx CS Team's Ulisses Fontes got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 66 minutes, Bebeto Donato managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. E.C XV de Piracicaba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bebeto Donato was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alexandre Vaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Romário Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bebeto Donato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flexx CS Team's Romário Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Vaz in the 84th minute of play. After having played for 88 minutes, Ulisses Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flexx CS Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulisses Fontes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ulisses Fontes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Erivaldo Guimarães came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Flexx CS Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erivaldo Guimarães couldn't finish the play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
