Luisinho Brasil's late challenge caught a Mararupa F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luisinho Brasil helped the player get up and apologised. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mathias Ribeiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Diego de Almeida fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mararupa F.C.'s protests and gave Diego de Almeida a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisinho Brasil in the 56th minute of play forced Mararupa F.C.'s goalkeeper Erivaldo Cardozo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mathias Ribeiro in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erivaldo Cardozo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mathias Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 82 minutes into the game, Mathias Ribeiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Erivaldo Cardozo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 86 minutes into the game, Hakuna Matata's Luisinho Brasil nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erivaldo Cardozo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mararupa F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Hakuna Matata.
