In the 21st minute, Spaboys 4EVER's Benedito da Rocha dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After 28 minutes, Paulinho Carvalho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Spaboys 4EVER and the E.C XV de Piracicaba players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Spaboys 4EVER getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Paulinho Carvalho hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Spaboys 4EVER's Paulinho Carvalho got a free kick in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bebeto Donato in the 32nd minute of play forced Spaboys 4EVER's goalkeeper Severino Ceresso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ediberto Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedito da Rocha in the 33rd minute of the match. Severino Ceresso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Vaz in the 36th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Alexandre Vaz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The E.C XV de Piracicaba fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Dito Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexandre Vaz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marcos Guedes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Ediberto Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the E.C XV de Piracicaba defense, João Augusto Andrade kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ediberto Costa. The E.C XV de Piracicaba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ediberto Costa should have stopped the shot. Ediberto Costa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benedito da Rocha's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. If Marcos Guedes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bebeto Donato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Ceresso having to interfere. Benedito da Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute, Dito Lopes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcos Guedes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ediberto Costa having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in E.C XV de Piracicaba's zone, Percy Mazza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ediberto Costa came out of the goal and Percy Mazza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. E.C XV de Piracicaba's Ediberto Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Guedes in the 87th minute of play. Alexandre Vaz struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Severino Ceresso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for E.C XV de Piracicaba. Spaboys 4EVER's Severino Ceresso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Spaboys 4EVER from getting a goal against them. If Benedito da Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Spaboys 4EVER had played much better football throughout.
