Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cafu de Senna in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Romário Magalhães prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 0-1 became the score in the 15th minute when Luan de Andrade elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Erivaldo Guimarães could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Cacá Veiga made a huge save. Romário Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luan de Andrade in the 27th minute of play. A collision led to Flexx CS Team getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ulisses Fontes made a kick off. Romário Magalhães made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Fiori Torres sent off a good shot on target. Luan de Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romário Magalhães having to interfere. A collision led to Flexx CS Team getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Simão de Lara hit a great ball. If Fiori Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricerspool United's Cacá Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erivaldo Guimarães in the 57th minute of play. Erivaldo Guimarães recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 66th match minute, Flexx CS Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Macedo to maneuver through the defense. Luan de Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romário Magalhães having to interfere. After having played for 74 minutes, Fiori Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ricerspool United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fiori Torres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zé da Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Cacá Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simão de Lara in the 80th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Flexx CS Team's Caco Cunha got a free kick in the 80th minute. Fiori Torres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Romário Magalhães read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. In the 88th minute Luan de Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romário Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Fiori Torres came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Ricerspool United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fiori Torres couldn't finish the play. 91 minutes into the game, Luizinho Britto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ricerspool United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flexx CS Team the free kick. Luizinho Britto kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 92nd match minute, Ricerspool United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luizinho Britto to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 93 minutes, Ulisses Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flexx CS Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulisses Fontes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Ricerspool United supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ricerspool United would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
