Felippe Sousa might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Faustão Passos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sandrinho Duarte scored 1-0 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Faustão Passos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luís Paulo Leite hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Luís Paulo Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felippe Sousa charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felippe Sousa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th minute, Felippe Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Faustão Passos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felippe Sousa in the 20th minute of play. After 21 minutes, Luís Paulo Leite mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Warriors4EVER and the Guarapuava players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Warriors4EVER booed when Guarapuava was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandrinho Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute of the match, João Carlos Valle tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Faustão Passos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a little luck, Warriors4EVER's Faustão Passos got control of the ball when Sandrinho Duarte tried to sneak it across the goal line. Frank da Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kiko Schmidt having to interfere. When Frank da Cunha fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Warriors4EVER's protests and gave Frank da Cunha a yellow card for diving instead. If Sandrinho Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 43 played minutes Warriors4EVER got a freekick which was hit by Luís Paulo Leite. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sandrinho Duarte got free with Faustão Passos in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guarapuava's Sílvio Luís Reis was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Faustão Passos in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Felippe Sousa to make the kick off. Sandrinho Duarte scored 2-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Faustão Passos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 57th match minute, Warriors4EVER was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Paulo Leite to maneuver through the defense. After 58 minutes of play, Guarapuava's Felippe Sousa made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Faustão Passos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Joel Neves charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joel Neves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Frank da Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Kiko Schmidt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felippe Sousa in the 70th minute of play forced Warriors4EVER's goalkeeper Faustão Passos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Felippe Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute Sandrinho Duarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faustão Passos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sandrinho Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 78 played minutes Guarapuava got a freekick which was hit by Fernandinho Zanette. Faustão Passos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandrinho Duarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Felippe Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank da Cunha in the 87th minute of play forced Guarapuava's goalkeeper Kiko Schmidt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guarapuava's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
