The referee ignored Hakuna Matata's protests and gave Luisinho Brasil a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Hakuna Matata getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Luisinho Brasil hit a great ball. After having played for 7 minutes, Dráuzio Travassos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Warriors4EVER's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dráuzio Travassos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luís Paulo Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Ulysses Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dráuzio Travassos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulysses Marques having to interfere. Ulysses Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank da Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. The supporters of Warriors4EVER booed when Hakuna Matata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisinho Brasil didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Warriors4EVER's Dráuzio Travassos in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Warriors4EVER's Duncan McLeod got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Dráuzio Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Paulo Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Hakuna Matata's Luizão de Carvalho got a free kick in the 40th minute. It was beautiful to see Warriors4EVER's Luís Paulo Leite in action when he in the 42nd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. Hakuna Matata's Ulysses Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dráuzio Travassos in the 44th minute of play. In the 47thth minute of the game Dráuzio Travassos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hakuna Matata's Ulysses Marques was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dráuzio Travassos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dráuzio Travassoss short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Ulysses Marques to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ulysses Marques stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dráuzio Travassos's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Dráuzio Travassos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Ulysses Marques when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Dráuzio Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Dráuzio Travassos came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Warriors4EVER fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dráuzio Travassos couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Dráuzio Travassos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Warriors4EVER's supporters rose to their feet, but Dráuzio Travassos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulysses Marques breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 94th play minutes Dráuzio Travassos shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Ulysses Marques and just under the crossbar into goal.
