Luiz Fabiano dos Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evandro Gerber in the 15th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Penha in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luiz Fabiano dos Santos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luiz Fabiano dos Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erivaldo Penha in the 17th minute of the match. When Natanael Chaves fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guaxindiba AD's protests and gave Natanael Chaves a yellow card for diving instead. After 21 minutes, Elias Carvalho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guaxindiba AD and the Mutante Rex FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Guaxindiba AD's Elivélton Donatello, in the 26th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. José Penha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fabiano dos Santos having to interfere. Marcos Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mutante Rex FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
