The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Erivaldo Penha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Barral having to interfere. Alessandro Barral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Falcão Cosme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alessandro Barral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Penha, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. José Penha might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alessandro Barral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Penha ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Melhor Que o Kleber FC's zone, José Penha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alessandro Barral came out of the goal and José Penha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Erivaldo Penha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Marcos Nogueira came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Mutante Rex FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcos Nogueira couldn't finish the play. 26 minutes into the match, Mutante Rex FC's goalkeeper Vinícius do Vale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Carlos de Carvalho. Alessandro Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Penha in the 28th minute of the match. Marcos Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Mutante Rex FC's Erivaldo Penha in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Melhor Que o Kleber FC's goalie prevented a goal. Alessandro Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erivaldo Penha in the 33rd minute of the match. After 33 played minutes Melhor Que o Kleber FC got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Paraíba. 36 minutes into the match, Melhor Que o Kleber FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Nogueira came free, but Alessandro Barral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erivaldo Penha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Mutante Rex FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. William Montenegro hit a great ball. Pedrinho Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Mutante Rex FC's William Montenegro got a free kick in the 46th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Penha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alessandro Barral came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Mutante Rex FC's Marcos Nogueira. But to his dismay, Marcos Nogueira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evandro Gerber in the 55th minute of play forced Melhor Que o Kleber FC's goalkeeper Alessandro Barral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dé Abreu in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vinícius do Vale prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vinícius do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Paraíba, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Alessandro Barral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Penha's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. A collision led to Mutante Rex FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Evandro Gerber hit a great ball. 67 minutes into the match, Melhor Que o Kleber FC's Túlio Cavalcante sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vinícius do Vale narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dé Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinícius do Vale having to interfere. Marcos Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Barral having to interfere. If Falcão Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the match, Mutante Rex FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Paraíba came free, but Vinícius do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Mutante Rex FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
