Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Fred Salgado started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Assaizal's Danilo Arósio got a free kick in the 4th minute. Guaxindiba AD's Luiz Fabiano dos Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred Salgado in the 12th minute of play. Fred Salgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Aírton Breckenfeld fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fabiano dos Santos having to interfere. Giuseppe Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Renan Tepedino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik Schmidt in the 30th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Guaxindiba AD's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Aírton Breckenfeld fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Assaizal's Renan Tepedino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Schmidt in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Aírton Breckenfeld got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erik Schmidt made a kick off. Renan Tepedino made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Tiago Gabriel Santana sent off a good shot on target. Renan Tepedino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natanael Chaves, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Natanael Chaves dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Renan Tepedino, 0-1. If Fred Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute Erik Schmidt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renan Tepedino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elivélton Donatello got free with Renan Tepedino in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Giuseppe Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Luiz Fabiano dos Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fred Salgado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luiz Fabiano dos Santos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fred Salgado's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Aírton Breckenfeld struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Luiz Fabiano dos Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Assaizal. If Fred Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 86th minute, Aírton Breckenfeld ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luiz Fabiano dos Santos was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
