The tension between the Dunas SC and the Mutante Rex FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tostão Meirelles kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Mutante Rex FC's Leopoldo Mazza got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leopoldo Mazza in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erivaldo Sergipano saved Dunas SC from getting behind. Erivaldo Penha came free with the goalkeeper in the 17th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Erivaldo Sergipano could save by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Betinho Sá during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Betinho Sá hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute, Leopoldo Mazza reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Erivaldo Sergipano. The goal made the score 1-1. Erivaldo Sergipano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrianinho Cardoso in the 25th minute of play. Dunas SC's Erivaldo Sergipano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Dunas SC from getting a goal against them. Erivaldo Penha who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Erivaldo Sergipano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adrianinho Cardoso got free with Erivaldo Sergipano in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 31st minute, Leopoldo Mazza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Erivaldo Sergipano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leopoldo Mazza, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Adrianinho Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erivaldo Sergipano having to interfere. Erivaldo Sergipano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Dunas SC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Tostão Meirelles hit a great ball. Erivaldo Sergipano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Mazza in the 44th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Naldo Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Erivaldo Sergipano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Mazza in the 54th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Dunas SC's zone, Falcão Cosme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erivaldo Sergipano came out of the goal and Falcão Cosme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leopoldo Mazza in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erivaldo Sergipano saved Dunas SC from getting behind. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dunas SC's goalkeeper Erivaldo Sergipano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dunas SC's Erivaldo Sergipano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erivaldo Penha in the 68th minute of play. Matías Baiano kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Mutante Rex FC's goalkeeper Vinícius do Vale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jairo Marquez. Erivaldo Sergipano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erivaldo Penha, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Betinho Sá was shown his second yellow card after 76 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After having played for 84 minutes, Falcão Cosme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mutante Rex FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Falcão Cosme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evandro Gerber in the 85th minute of play forced Dunas SC's goalkeeper Erivaldo Sergipano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erivaldo Penha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erivaldo Sergipano having to interfere. If Evandro Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erivaldo Sergipano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caio Damião, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dunas SC's Erivaldo Sergipano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erivaldo Penha in the 92nd minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Caio Damião had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Erivaldo Sergipano. Dunas SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Caio Damião was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. There was no doubt that Mutante Rex FC were the better team. Mutante Rex FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
