In the 16th minute Dé Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toader Grigore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 20 minutes, Wesley Saldanha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Melhor Que o Kleber FC and the Real Catarinense players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Real Catarinense booed when Melhor Que o Kleber FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wesley Saldanha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Real Catarinense were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Melhor Que o Kleber FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fernandão da Silva took the corner. Real Catarinense's Fernandão da Silva was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alessandro Barral in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 26th minute, Real Catarinense's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Túlio Cavalcante fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Toader Grigore was a little too slow when Dé Abreu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 1-0. Humberto Fantini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Humberto Fantini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Real Catarinense's Toader Grigore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dé Abreu in the 37th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Melhor Que o Kleber FC's Magno Lopez slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Toader Grigore. That made the score 2-0 after 40 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edmílson Jacinto during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Edmílson Jacinto hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Túlio Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Toader Grigore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dé Abreu in the 47th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dé Abreu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dé Abreu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Toader Grigore having to make a save. Humberto Fantini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Túlio Cavalcante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Toader Grigore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valério Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Barral having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Melhor Que o Kleber FC's Joaquim Paraíba got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 78th minute, Valério Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd minute Túlio Cavalcante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toader Grigore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Magno Lopez struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Toader Grigore didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Melhor Que o Kleber FC. Toader Grigore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dé Abreu in the 87th minute of play. Toader Grigore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wesley Saldanha in the 91st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dé Abreu in the 93rd minute of play forced Real Catarinense's goalkeeper Toader Grigore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Melhor Que o Kleber FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
