In the 23rd minute, Real Catarinense's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Luís Gustavo Guimarães fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Toader Grigore made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Luís Gustavo Guimarães sent off a good shot on target. Luís Gustavo Guimarães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Toader Grigore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Toader Grigore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Gustavo Guimarães, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 63rd minute Luís Gustavo Guimarães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toader Grigore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernandão da Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 84th minute, Cristiano Camargo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cláudio Freitas scored 1-1 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Toader Grigore, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Edmílson Jacinto might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedrão Vergílio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edmílson Jacinto ran back to his position shaking his head. Cláudio Freitas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Toader Grigore read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Toader Grigore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cláudio Freitas in the 96th minute of play. Real Catarinense's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
