João Adolfo Gerber blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mazinho Albuquerque having to make a save. 10 minutes into the match, Chamengo's goal looked a bit too open when João Adolfo Gerber came free, but Mazinho Albuquerque reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that João Adolfo Gerber's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mazinho Albuquerque was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Vítor Vergílio hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After 23 played minutes Chamengo got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Tepedino. Ezequiel Lara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 34 played minutes Chamengo got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Schmidt. In the 38th minute Ezequiel Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mazinho Albuquerque saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Cesinha Ramos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chorona's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chamengo the free kick. A collision led to Chorona getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Cesinha Ramos hit a great ball. João Adolfo Gerber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Mazinho Albuquerque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Ezequiel Lara made the kick off in the second half. When Ezequiel Lara came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Chorona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ezequiel Lara couldn't finish the play. Mazinho Albuquerque made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ezequiel Lara in the 54th minute of play. Mazinho Albuquerque made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when João Adolfo Gerber sent off a good shot on target. Mazinho Albuquerque was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ezequiel Lara showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 59 minute of play. Mazinho Albuquerque showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ezequiel Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Chamengo's goalkeeper Mazinho Albuquerque had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Adolfo Gerber. After 77 played minutes Chamengo got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Schmidt. After a defensive mix-up in Chamengo's zone, Ezequiel Lara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mazinho Albuquerque came out of the goal and Ezequiel Lara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If João Adolfo Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Genílson Pinho fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chamengo's protests and gave Genílson Pinho a yellow card for diving instead. In the 82nd match minute, Chamengo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genílson Pinho to maneuver through the defense. Chorona's Cesinha Ramos shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 83rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Mazinho Albuquerque but with some difficulty. João Adolfo Gerber could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Mazinho Albuquerque made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, João Adolfo Gerber put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Mazinho Albuquerque. Mazinho Albuquerque showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ezequiel Lara in the 92nd minute of the match. When Ademar Figueiredo fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chamengo's protests and gave Ademar Figueiredo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Chamengo getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Ademar Figueiredo hit a great ball. Emanuel Schmidt got his second yellow card in the match during the 97th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 97th match minute, Chamengo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Schmidt to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Chorona could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Chamengo throughout the match.
