Spectators: 7286 (Terracing: 5467, Seating: 1675, VIP seats: 144) Chorona's Ezequiel Lara started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Samuel Cardoso scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gernando Antunes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gernando Antunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Cardoso in the 13th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Chorona's Cesinha Ramos got a free kick in the 15th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Chorona's goal looked a bit too open when Luizinho Ribeiro came free, but Gernando Antunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Cardoso in the 20th minute of play forced Chorona's goalkeeper Gernando Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chorona's Gernando Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luizinho Ribeiro in the 24th minute of play. After 29 minutes of play, Star Sports Clube's Samuel Cardoso made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gernando Antunes was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 31st match minute, Chorona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genílson Bittencourt to maneuver through the defense. When Star Sports Clube's Luizinho Ribeiro in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chorona's goalie prevented a goal. Ezequiel Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 44 minutes into the match, Star Sports Clube's goalkeeper Carlos Curcio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Adolfo Gerber. In the 45th minute, Ezequiel Lara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Star Sports Clube were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chicão Zanette made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Mendonça in the 58th minute of play forced Chorona's goalkeeper Gernando Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute, Genílson Bittencourt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Léo Eger fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Star Sports Clube's protests and gave Léo Eger a yellow card for diving instead. After 78 played minutes Star Sports Clube got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Magalhães. Gernando Antunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Magalhães in the 87th minute of the match. In the 94th match minute, Star Sports Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chicão Zanette to maneuver through the defense. 100 minutes into the game, Chicão Zanette recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gernando Antunes. Chicão Zanette showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Star Sports Clube walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
