In the 8th minute, Josué Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to GrimDeath getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Samuel de Carvalho hit a great ball. Mazinho Albuquerque showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Soares, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Fabrício Maia's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mazinho Albuquerque firmly grabbed it by the left post. 0-1 became the score in the 25th minute when Genílson Pinho elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Fabrício Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mazinho Albuquerque having to interfere. Tostão Tepedino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genílson Pinho in the 31st minute of play. Vicente Soares might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mazinho Albuquerque. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vicente Soares ran back to his position shaking his head. Fabrício Maia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Mazinho Albuquerque made a huge save. In the 47th minute, GrimDeath's Wilian Paranaense dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vicente Soares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Francisco Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chamengo's Genílson Pinho got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chamengo's Fausto Tepedino couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 67th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for GrimDeath. When GrimDeath's Vicente Soares in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genílson Pinho in the 83rd minute of play forced GrimDeath's goalkeeper Tostão Tepedino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cipriano Teixeira charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cipriano Teixeira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, GrimDeath's Cipriano Teixeira got a free kick in the 86th minute. When GrimDeath's Fabrício Maia in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
