An unexpectedly hard shot by Renato Cruz in the 31st minute of play forced Punau SS's goalkeeper Naldo Bertassi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Punau SS booed when O mais Temido Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauro Melo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 33 minutes, Luís Barral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Virgílio Luz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Maria Alvarenga to make the kick off. Renato Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Renato Cruz in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Naldo Bertassi saved Punau SS from getting behind. Punau SS's Naldo Bertassi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Washington Silveira in the 71st minute of play. Virgílio Luz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Maria Alvarenga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valdemar Campidelis hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Punau SS's Oswaldo Vianna got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mauro Melo kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, Punau SS's Oswaldo Vianna broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. O mais Temido Fc's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
