Décio Vinhas started the match with the kick off. Gil Cordeiro hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After 6 played minutes Corinthians SV got a freekick which was hit by Wanderson Braga. 10 minutes into the match, Dragão Mecânico's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Paulo Rocha came free, but Evandro Rosado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute, Décio Vinhas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Evandro Rosado was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 16th minute Luiz Paulo Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evandro Rosado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19thth minute of the game Luiz Paulo Rocha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dragão Mecânico's Evandro Rosado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 27th minute Décio Vinhas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evandro Rosado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Corinthians SV's goalkeeper César Neves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Víktor Chaves. When Orlando de Amorim fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dragão Mecânico's protests and gave Orlando de Amorim a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of Dragão Mecânico:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Corinthians SV:s goal. Evandro Rosado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Décio Vinhas, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Evandro Rosado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Paulo Rocha in the 38th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Décio Vinhas in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evandro Rosado saved Dragão Mecânico from getting behind. Décio Vinhas might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Evandro Rosado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Décio Vinhas ran back to his position shaking his head. Dragão Mecânico's Evandro Rosado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Décio Vinhas in the 44th minute of play. Corinthians SV's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Décio Vinhas in the 45th minute. Décio Vinhas made a great header on Corinthians SV's corner, it was just that Dragão Mecânico's Evandro Rosado managed to reach the ball for a save. The Dragão Mecânico players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Corinthians SV were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Richard Toscano was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match Orlando de Amorim shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but César Neves showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Gil Cordeiro fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dragão Mecânico's protests and gave Gil Cordeiro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 58th minute, Gil Cordeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Corinthians SV's Mauro Vergílio was substituted for Geovanni Correia. After 60 played minutes Dragão Mecânico got a freekick which was hit by Gil Cordeiro. Evandro Rosado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luiz Paulo Rocha in the 61st minute. In the 63rd play minute Luiz Paulo Rocha came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Evandro Rosado. 0-3. Corinthians SV made a substitution. Matheus Toscano replaced David Cardoso. Víktor Chaves charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Víktor Chaves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Dragão Mecânico's Víktor Chaves got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 74th minute João Paulo Sampaio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evandro Rosado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Corinthians SV's Evandro Rosado threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Décio Vinhas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Décio Vinhas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evandro Rosado having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Décio Vinhas in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Evandro Rosado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Richard Toscano scored 1-3 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of César Neves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luiz Paulo Rocha succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-4 in the 84th playminute. After a rather tough play, Dragão Mecânico's Víktor Chaves got a free kick in the 87th minute. Víktor Chaves hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. The supporters of Corinthians SV booed when Dragão Mecânico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodriguinho Varela didn't get a good kick on the ball. Corinthians SV's Luiz Paulo Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Corinthians SV played a much better game than Dragão Mecânico and deserved their victory. The Dragão Mecânico players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
