He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ciber F.C reached it. 17 minutes into the game, Ciber F.C's Aloísio Nogueira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oséas Lucas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Oséas Lucas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademar Meira in the 21st minute of the match. Oséas Lucas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Giuseppe Vianna's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. In the 28th minute, Giuseppe Vianna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Giuseppe Vianna in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oséas Lucas saved RS Football Club from getting behind. In the 31st minute, Aloísio Nogueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Giuseppe Vianna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oséas Lucas was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Oséas Lucas came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Ciber F.C's Ademar Meira. After some careless play in the RS Football Club defense, Giuseppe Vianna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oséas Lucas. The RS Football Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oséas Lucas should have stopped the shot. The RS Football Club players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ciber F.C were winning 0-3.

Oséas Lucas came out of the goal and Samuca Munhoz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Carlinhos da Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot. RS Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlinhos da Silva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Betinho Travassos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ulisses Toscano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Aloísio Nogueira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oséas Lucas was relentless in the 77th minute of the game.
