José Maria Reis's late challenge caught a DragonIce's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Maria Reis helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Timao's José Maria Reis got a free kick in the 13th minute. With a little luck, Timao's Carlos Fernando Rodrigues got control of the ball when César Coelho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Timao's Carlos Fernando Rodrigues proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Timao from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Prata in the 26th minute of play forced DragonIce's goalkeeper Joaquim Camargo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Fábio Recife fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Fernando Rodrigues having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Prata in the 31st minute of play forced DragonIce's goalkeeper Joaquim Camargo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the match, César Coelho notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Timao's Carlos Fernando Rodrigues. Carlos Fernando Rodrigues was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. DragonIce's Joaquim Camargo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Maria Reis in the 38th minute of play. José Maria Reis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joaquim Camargo having to make a save. 39 minutes into the match, Edgar Prata had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquim Camargo. DragonIce's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgar Prata was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. César Coelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Carlos Fernando Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nestor Leite hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

José Maria Reis struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Joaquim Camargo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Timao. In the 56th minute, José Maria Reis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If César Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 62 minutes, Luís Fábio Recife mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DragonIce and the Timao players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Timao booed when DragonIce was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fábio Recife didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 65th play minutes José Maria Reis shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Joaquim Camargo and just under the crossbar into goal. José Maria Reis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If César Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 84thth minute of the game César Coelho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Timao's Carlos Fernando Rodrigues was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luís Fábio Recife received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Carlos Fernando Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Fernando Rodrigues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from César Coelho in the 89th minute of play. César Coelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Fernando Rodrigues having to interfere.
