When Dadá Rosa fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dorime FC's protests and gave Dadá Rosa a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Dorime FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Dadá Rosa hit a great ball. In the 39th minute, Amílton Costa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ulysses Silveira. The goal made the score 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Carlos Alberto Simões managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tomasina's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Alberto Simões was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afonso Carvalho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Adrianinho Souto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Alberto Simões could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Afonso Carvalho made a huge save. After having played for 95 minutes, Dadá Rosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dorime FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dadá Rosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dorime FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
