Pixaim EC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Pixaim EC's Eusébio de Azevedo shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 28th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Bebeto Travassos but with some difficulty. 29 minutes into the match, Ratquimby's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando de Barros came free, but Bebeto Travassos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Ratquimby getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Christiano Medeiros hit a great ball. Ratquimby's Bebeto Travassos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Ratquimby from getting a goal against them. 36 minutes into the match, André Luís Mello notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Ratquimby's Bebeto Travassos. Bebeto Travassos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 40th minute, Arnaldo Figueiredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute, Fernando de Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gláuber Sergipano charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Murilo Figueiredo scored 3-1 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Renatinho Ceresso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tião Sergipano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renatinho Ceresso having to interfere. After having played for 75 minutes, André Luís Mello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pixaim EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Luís Mello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 76 played minutes Ratquimby got a freekick which was hit by Christiano Medeiros. 78 minutes into the match, Pixaim EC's Fernando de Barros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bebeto Travassos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that André Luís Mello's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bebeto Travassos was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. André Luís Mello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bebeto Travassos having to interfere. André Luís Mello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute.
