Pedro Luís Andrade's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bebeto Travassos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. If Pedro Luís Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luciano Neves hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. When Ratquimby's Tião Sergipano in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ruilandia's goalie prevented a goal. Murilo Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Dinei Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. From close distance Murilo Figueiredo pressed in the 1-0 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 27 minutes into the game. Bebeto Travassos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luís Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Ruilandia defense, Murilo Figueiredo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dinei Neves. The Ruilandia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dinei Neves should have stopped the shot. When Tião Sergipano came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Ratquimby fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tião Sergipano couldn't finish the play. If Pedro Luís Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Pedro Luís Andrade fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ruilandia's protests and gave Pedro Luís Andrade a yellow card for diving instead. 47 minutes into the match, Ruilandia's goal looked a bit too open when Tião Sergipano came free, but Dinei Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Tião Sergipano made the kick off in the second half. Alan Toscano charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alan Toscano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 55th match minute, Ruilandia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Toscano to maneuver through the defense. Tião Sergipano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dinei Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murilo Figueiredo in the 62nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christiano Medeiros in the 64th minute of play forced Ruilandia's goalkeeper Dinei Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Abelardo Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Luís Andrade might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bebeto Travassos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedro Luís Andrade ran back to his position shaking his head. When Abelardo Mandrak came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Ruilandia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abelardo Mandrak couldn't finish the play. 75 minutes into the game, Tião Sergipano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Dinei Neves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 97 minutes into the match, Ratquimby's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Mandrak came free, but Bebeto Travassos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ruilandia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ratquimby.
