A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 12 minutes, Jarbas de Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BLACKPINK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jarbas de Lima was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Ratquimby's goal looked a bit too open when Antônio Costa came free, but Bebeto Travassos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roberto Furtado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Cardozo in the 18th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ratquimby's zone, Antônio Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bebeto Travassos came out of the goal and Antônio Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When BLACKPINK's Jerônimo Velloso in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 29th minute Sílvio Luiz Hermes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bebeto Travassos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Daniel Cardozo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of BLACKPINK's Roberto Furtado. Roberto Furtado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 35th minute of the match, Antônio Costa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bebeto Travassos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience was convinced that Jerônimo Velloso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bebeto Travassos was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Emílio Berger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Bebeto Travassos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute Tião Sergipano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Furtado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Vladimir Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roberto Furtado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tião Sergipano, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Antônio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bebeto Travassos having to interfere. Chants of Ratquimby echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as BLACKPINK had held the ball for most of the match.
