The coaching staff of Goianapolis protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Paulo Renato Domingues had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Goianapolis fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 47th minute. Penalty! The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lenílson Schmidt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When José Augusto Koehler fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Martelet's protests and gave José Augusto Koehler a yellow card for diving instead. José Augusto Koehler kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Elder Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Cruz having to interfere.
