When Lucas Vidal fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ROCKEFELLER TEAM's protests and gave Lucas Vidal a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, ROCKEFELLER TEAM's Lucas Vidal got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Beto Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 11 minutes into the match, Martelet's goal looked a bit too open when Felippe Toscano came free, but Nelson Monteiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nelson Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felippe Toscano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martelet's Nelson Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beto Gonçalves in the 14th minute of play. After 16 minutes of play, ROCKEFELLER TEAM's Beto Gonçalves made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nelson Monteiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! 20 minutes into the game, ROCKEFELLER TEAM's Beto Gonçalves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nelson Monteiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. A collision led to Martelet getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Alex da Fonseca hit a great ball. Felippe Toscano, 26 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Martelet's goal looked a bit too open when Beto Gonçalves came free, but Nelson Monteiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute, José Augusto Koehler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 31 minutes into the game, Alex da Fonseca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Martelet's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ROCKEFELLER TEAM the free kick. 30 minutes into the game, one of Martelet:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave ROCKEFELLER TEAM a penalty, 32 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Cristiano Pimenta, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Martelet's Nelson Monteiro. 0-3. In the 35th minute, Beto Gonçalves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nelson Monteiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Beto Gonçalves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nelson Monteiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Nelson Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldir Jacinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felippe Toscano in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nelson Monteiro saved Martelet from getting behind. After 43 minutes of play Martelet's Alex da Fonseca was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 44th match minute, Martelet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex da Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. Thiago Moreno took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nelson Monteiro. Martelet's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

The wind increased when Beto Gonçalves made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes had been played when some careless play by Martelet's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Felippe Toscano was slow to take the kick. During this time ROCKEFELLER TEAM's players had a chance to rest. A hard shot 54 in the game by Beto Gonçalves from a close distance when the talented Nelson Monteiro managed to make a qualified save. Martelet's players were relieved. Nelson Monteiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Beto Gonçalves went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Felippe Toscano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Nelson Monteiro managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when ROCKEFELLER TEAM's Beto Gonçalves fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Martelet's Nelson Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldir Jacinto in the 63rd minute of play. Beto Gonçalvess short, quick shot in the 67thth minute got Nelson Monteiro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 68th minute, Glauco Pena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felippe Toscano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Monteiro having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Beto Gonçalves fired away a shot that was totally unreachable for Nelson Monteiro. The ball ended up just outside the left post, and ROCKEFELLER TEAM's manager could be seen angrily pacing the sidelines. Lucas Vidal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Nelson Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute of the match, Beto Gonçalves got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nelson Monteiro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 88 minutes into the match, Martelet's goalkeeper Nelson Monteiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Beto Gonçalves. Adhemar Velloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Monteiro having to interfere. If Beto Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Martelet's zone, Felippe Toscano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nelson Monteiro came out of the goal and Felippe Toscano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. ROCKEFELLER TEAM's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
