A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ediberto Tróia in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luiz Eduardo Pernambucano saved Espinosense F.C from getting behind. Luiz Fernando de Queiroz was out of position in the 30 minute of play, and José dos Santos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. José dos Santos really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. 37 minutes into the match, Espinosense F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Amadeu Linhares came free, but Luiz Eduardo Pernambucano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The Cauarru EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz Fernando de Queiroz should have stopped the shot. Luiz Fernando de Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filipe Mattos in the 87th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Espinosense F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Amadeu Linhares came free, but Luiz Eduardo Pernambucano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
