Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Elder Magalhães took the kick off in the first half of the match. When José dos Santos fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Espinosense F.C's protests and gave José dos Santos a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Espinosense F.C's José dos Santos got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Espinosense F.C's goalkeeper Luiz Eduardo Pernambucano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 11 played minutes Martelet got a freekick which was hit by Glauco Pena. Nelson Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filipe Mattos in the 14th minute of play. José Augusto Koehler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Espinosense F.C's Luiz Eduardo Pernambucano got control of the ball when José Augusto Koehler tried to sneak it across the goal line. José Augusto Koehler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Luiz Eduardo Pernambucano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Glauco Pena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute Filipe Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelson Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Gustavo Rossi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Monteiro having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when José dos Santos made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, José Augusto Koehler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Martelet's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Augusto Koehler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Espinosense F.C's Luiz Eduardo Pernambucano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Augusto Koehler in the 63rd minute of play. José dos Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. José Augusto Koehler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Eduardo Pernambucano having to interfere. A collision led to Martelet getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Glauco Pena hit a great ball. Nelson Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José dos Santos in the 73rd minute of play. Nelson Monteiro was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and José dos Santos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. José dos Santos really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. In the 81st minute, Carlos Eduardo Marques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Augusto Koehler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Luiz Eduardo Pernambucano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Filipe Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Espinosense F.C defense, José Augusto Koehler kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luiz Eduardo Pernambucano. The Espinosense F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz Eduardo Pernambucano should have stopped the shot. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
