Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Fernando de Barros took the kick off in the first half of the match. Renatinho Ceresso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Eduardo Marques in the 15th minute of the match. Espinosense F.C's Luiz Eduardo Pernambucano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando de Barros in the 16th minute of play. In the 22nd minute José dos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renatinho Ceresso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Espinosense F.C's Filipe Mattos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Renatinho Ceresso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Filipe Mattos came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Espinosense F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filipe Mattos couldn't finish the play. After having played for 27 minutes, André Luís Mello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pixaim EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Luís Mello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th match minute, Espinosense F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Eduardo Marques to maneuver through the defense. In the 31stth minute of the game Fernando de Barros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Espinosense F.C's Luiz Eduardo Pernambucano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Pixaim EC's Fernando de Barros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luiz Eduardo Pernambucano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luiz Gustavo Rossi's late challenge caught a Pixaim EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luiz Gustavo Rossi helped the player get up and apologised. Fernando de Barros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José dos Santos to make the kick off. Espinosense F.C's Luiz Eduardo Pernambucano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Luís Mello in the 57th minute of play. Luiz Eduardo Pernambucano came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Pixaim EC's André Luís Mello. But to his dismay, André Luís Mello quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Filipe Mattos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Renatinho Ceresso made a huge save. André Luís Mello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Eduardo Pernambucano having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Luís Mello in the 73rd minute of play forced Espinosense F.C's goalkeeper Luiz Eduardo Pernambucano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74thth minute of the game André Luís Mello who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Espinosense F.C's Luiz Eduardo Pernambucano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Filipe Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
