With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jefferson Costa in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Patrick Urbano saved Malhadinho from getting behind. In the 14th match minute, Xupetas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jefferson Costa to maneuver through the defense. Silvério Lopez came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Malhadinho's Adrianinho Donato. But to his dismay, Adrianinho Donato quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Xupetas's Paulinho Loyola got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute, Roberto Cruz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Malhadinho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Adrianinho Donato recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adrianinho Donato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvério Lopez having to interfere. Elano Neves made in the 29th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Xupetas's Reynaldo Velloso. A sloppy throw-in by Dé de Queiroz in the 31st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Xupetas's Jairo Seco. Elói Faria charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elói Faria the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Xupetas's Elói Faria got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Xupetas's Reynaldo Velloso managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Elano Neves in the 35 minute of the game. Davi Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulinho Loyola hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. The supporters of Malhadinho booed when Xupetas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reynaldo Velloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xupetas's Jairo Seco managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Roberto Linhares in the 44 minute of the game. Adrianinho Donato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvério Lopez having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Elói Pontes got free with Silvério Lopez in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Adrianinho Donato kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Silvério Lopez. That made the score 0-3 in the 53 minute of play. Jefferson Costa hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute Adrianinho Donato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvério Lopez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roberto Linhares made in the 61st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Roberto Cruz however managed to control. Malhadinho's Adrianinho Donato suffered a sore knee after 62 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Paulinho Loyola fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Xupetas's protests and gave Paulinho Loyola a yellow card for diving instead. 62 minutes into the game, one of Xupetas:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Roberto Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Silvério Lopez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xupetas's Ademir Dantas was substituted for Leopoldo da Fonseca. Roberto Linhares made in the 82nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Roberto Cruz immediately put the ball in play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Malhadinho had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
