With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elano Queiroz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sebastião Pontes hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. 44 minutes into the game, Jânio Fantini cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Elano Queiroz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Moisés Jacinto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jânio Fantini in the 51st minute of play forced SafarijoeSports's goalkeeper Elano Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 52nd minute, Rodrigo de Queirós ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elano Queiroz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. 55 minutes into the game, Horácio Velloso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Escobar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SafarijoeSports the free kick. Elano Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jânio Fantini, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Moisés Jacinto scored 3-6 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dagoberto Faria, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 77 minutes, Erasmo Oliveira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SafarijoeSports and the Escobar players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Escobar booed when SafarijoeSports was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elano Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clayton Gerson in the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Sebastião Pontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodrigo de Queirós got free with Elano Queiroz in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rodrigo de Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Escobar were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after SafarijoeSports's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Horácio Velloso took the corner. In the 90th match minute, SafarijoeSports was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Vale to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Horácio Velloso in the 91st minute really tested Elano Queiroz's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Rodrigo de Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
