With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jefferson Costa in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Alberto Linhares saved Sabadini from getting behind. After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Xupetas! When the match had been going on for 11 minutes, Sabadini's Luiz Gustavo Cabral got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Silvério Lopez. If Leopoldo da Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Flávio Vieira made in the 20th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Xupetas's Reynaldo Velloso. Xupetas's attentive Jefferson Costa managed to snatch the ball when Fernandinho Moreira made a throw-in in the 26th minute of the game. Carlos Alberto Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo da Fonseca in the 28th minute of the match. Davi Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Alberto Linhares having to interfere. When Davi Queirós came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Xupetas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Davi Queirós couldn't finish the play. After having played for 42 minutes, Davi Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Xupetas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Davi Queirós was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Davi Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frederico Tavares came free with the goalkeeper in the 45th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Silvério Lopez could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, Sabadini's Frederico Tavares got a free kick in the 47th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Júlio Gomes to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sabadini's goalkeeper Carlos Alberto Linhares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Silvério Lopez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Gomes in the 56th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Leopoldo da Fonseca took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Carlos Alberto Linhares to make any attempt to save it. A sloppy throw-in by Flávio Vieira in the 61st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Xupetas's Reynaldo Velloso. In the 66th minute, Davi Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luiz Gustavo Cabral charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luiz Gustavo Cabral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Laerte Custódio took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Carlos Alberto Linhares to make any attempt to save it. After 87 played minutes Sabadini got a freekick which was hit by Frederico Tavares. Flávio Vieira made in the 89th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Antônio Carlos Berger however managed to control. When Ademir Dantas came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Xupetas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ademir Dantas couldn't finish the play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Sabadini's goalkeeper Carlos Alberto Linhares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Davi Queirós. Xupetas played a much better game than Sabadini and deserved their victory. The Sabadini players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
