If Conrado Arantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th match minute, Nork Reina Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Carlos Urbano to maneuver through the defense. Tarcisio Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Urbano having to interfere. If Adrianinho Donato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nork Reina Team's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Adrianinho Donato scored to the left of an out of position Gualter Sabóia, making the score, 1-0. After having played for 23 minutes, Adrianinho Donato managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malhadinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adrianinho Donato was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 33 minutes, João Carlos Urbano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nork Reina Team and the Malhadinho players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Nork Reina Team getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. João Carlos Urbano hit a great ball. After 36th play minutes Adrianinho Donato shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Gualter Sabóia and just under the crossbar into goal. If Adrianinho Donato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Elói Pontes came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Malhadinho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elói Pontes couldn't finish the play. Gualter Sabóia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrianinho Donato in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
Malhadinho's Adrianinho Donato got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Patrick Urbano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tarcisio Barbosa in the 57th minute of play. After 58 minutes, Mané Neiva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nork Reina Team and the Malhadinho players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mané Neiva hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Adrianinho Donato recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 74 minutes into the match, Nork Reina Team's goal looked a bit too open when Adrianinho Donato came free, but Gualter Sabóia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nork Reina Team's goalkeeper Gualter Sabóia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Roberto Linhares made a precise shot to the right of Gualter Sabóia. Nork Reina Team's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adrianinho Donato in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gualter Sabóia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adrianinho Donato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Adrianinho Donato managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malhadinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Adrianinho Donato was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gualter Sabóia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Roberto Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tarcisio Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
