The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aníbal Moreno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Hortêncio Teixeira managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.E. Betteguense's supporters rose to their feet, but Hortêncio Teixeira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giovani Correia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carlos Fernando Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Maia having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Davi Félix sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Giovani Correia threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Davi Félix this time. In the 22nd match minute, Tamboata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laerte Sousa to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the match, S.E. Betteguense's Hortêncio Teixeira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Giovani Correia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Carlos Fernando Silveira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vicente Maia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Duda Barbosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vicente Maia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aníbal Moreno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aníbal Moreno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vicente Maia was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Aníbal Moreno showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 52 minute of play. Enrique Trigo hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Paulão Mangueira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vicente Maia. S.E. Betteguense's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 60th minute Ernesto Ferraz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovani Correia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the game, Aníbal Moreno lined in a short shot 0-2 behind a frustrated Vicente Maia. The audience was convinced that Hortêncio Teixeira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Giovani Correia was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. In the 86thth minute of the game Duda Barbosa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tamboata's Giovani Correia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Giovani Correia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Duda Barbosa's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind S.E. Betteguense's goalkeeper Vicente Maia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, S.E. Betteguense's Evaristo Rodrigues got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The Tamboata players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
