AA Serginho MZC's Germano Sena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save AA Serginho MZC from getting a goal against them. Hortêncio Teixeira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Germano Sena made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hortêncio Teixeira got free with Germano Sena in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Duda Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. AA Serginho MZC's Germano Sena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save AA Serginho MZC from getting a goal against them. Germano Sena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Duda Barbosa in the 17th minute. If Eliseu Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Conrado Vale hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Magno Galvão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Maia having to interfere. When Marco Cosme fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AA Serginho MZC's protests and gave Marco Cosme a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th minute, Marco Cosme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hortêncio Teixeira came free with the goalkeeper in the 30th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Germano Sena could save by the left post. In the 32nd minute, Eliseu Martins ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vicente Maia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Conrado Vale hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Duda Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Germano Sena having to interfere. Germano Sena came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by S.E. Betteguense's Hortêncio Teixeira. But to his dismay, Hortêncio Teixeira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Vicente Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastião Simões, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sebastião Simões to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Hortêncio Teixeira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 54 played minutes, S.E. Betteguense's Enrique Trigo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Germano Sena came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in S.E. Betteguense reached it. If Duda Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 58 minutes, Duda Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.E. Betteguense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Duda Barbosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Duda Barbosa took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Germano Sena. Germano Sena dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The audience was convinced that Duda Barbosa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Germano Sena was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Vicente Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastião Simões in the 67th minute of play. The supporters of S.E. Betteguense booed when AA Serginho MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egídio Chaves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Duda Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Duda Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Germano Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Duda Barbosa struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Germano Sena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.E. Betteguense. Betteguense's supporters rose to their feet, but Hortêncio Teixeira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Germano Sena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Germano Sena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duda Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute, Egídio Chaves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. S.E. Betteguense walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
