Vágner Capixaba made in the 7th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Toltz Paulista's Erivaldo Cearense. After a defensive mix-up in Juventus FC's zone, Silvinho Rosado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enio Cearense came out of the goal and Silvinho Rosado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vivaldo Corrêa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Enio Cearense made a huge save. 13 minutes into the match, Toltz Paulista's goal looked a bit too open when Diguinho Lucas came free, but João Mineiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Mineiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diguinho Lucas, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. The audience was convinced that Nilson Perez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but João Mineiro was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. But to his dismay, Luís Eduardo Batista quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After a rather tough play, Juventus FC's Elano Tróia got a free kick in the 46th minute. Silvinho Rosado struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Enio Cearense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Toltz Paulista. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Diguinho Lucas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Juventus FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vivaldo Corrêa in the 55th minute of play forced Juventus FC's goalkeeper Enio Cearense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 55 minutes of play, Toltz Paulista's Vivaldo Corrêa made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Enio Cearense was left in no man's land by his defense there! João Mineiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diguinho Lucas in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vivaldo Corrêa in the 66th minute of play forced Juventus FC's goalkeeper Enio Cearense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silvinho Rosado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enio Cearense having to interfere. If Silvinho Rosado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Mineiro made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Nilson Perez sent off a good shot on target. 87 minutes into the game, Toltz Paulista's Vivaldo Corrêa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Enio Cearense made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. When the referee ended the match the Toltz Paulista players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
