The referee ignored Coracao AD's protests and gave Ulisses Rocha a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th minute, Ulisses Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maurício Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Humberto Mendonça fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored bubatoons's protests and gave Humberto Mendonça a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th minute, Delfim Leão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luiz Eduardo Netto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delfim Leão in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurício Queiroz in the 22nd minute of play forced Coracao AD's goalkeeper Luiz Eduardo Netto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Delfim Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Delfim Leão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Eduardo Netto having to interfere. After 40 minutes of play Coracao AD's Ulisses Rocha was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 40th minute, Ulisses Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caetano Valle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luiz Eduardo Netto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Delfim Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Luiz Eduardo Netto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 57 minutes, Dráusio Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coracao AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dráusio Veiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Armandinho Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Aílton Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luiz Eduardo Netto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diguinho Matorin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Delfim Leão took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luiz Eduardo Netto. Luiz Eduardo Netto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Dráusio Veiga might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aílton Figueiredo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dráusio Veiga ran back to his position shaking his head. Dráusio Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maurício Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Luiz Eduardo Netto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Coracao AD's goalkeeper Luiz Eduardo Netto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Delfim Leão. Aílton Figueiredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dráusio Veiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Dráusio Veiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Maurício Queiroz came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the bubatoons fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurício Queiroz couldn't finish the play. Coracao AD were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing bubatoons to leave the ground with a draw.
